THE EVOLVE STORY
Founded in 2019 by husband and wife team Jacob and Mia, Evolve Building and Renovations is a custom residential builder specialising in custom new homes, renovations and extensions.
Evolve is a family business. Passionate about building our own projects, we began with the aim of bringing an inclusive, down to earth approach to other families hoping to build their dream homes.
Planning, designing and building your own home can be one of life’s most stressful experiences; but it needn’t be!
As a young family (often with a kid in tow ourselves), we keep it simple as we help other families design spaces unique to their needs.
For Jacob, a hands-on approach is second nature. Working as a qualified carpenter for over 15 years, he leads from the front. You’ll find him on site leading construction, and easily accessible throughout every stage of the building process.
A master of organisation, Mia has been working behind the scenes since day dot, stepping up to a permanent role at Evolve in 2021. Keeping in close contact throughout the process, Mia handles numerous aspects of your build, from early planning stages to your eagerly-awaited handover!
Building your own home is a journey that you don’t undertake too many times in your lifetime. That’s why we aim for every client to reach handover with fond memories. Your building experience is as important as the end result.

We help families design and build homes they love to live in.
Flexibility is key to the Evolve approach. There’s no cookie cutter solutions here. Our custom approach to every stage of the process proactively addresses the individual needs of each client to ensure your best result.
Evolve work with tried and tested trades and choose local suppliers wherever possible. We’re happy for you to select your own designer, or work with our building designer.
As a paid building consultant, we work closely with the design team through planning and design, proposals, permits and construction to ensure building code and industry standards are achieved and inefficiencies are minimised and your budget is maximised at every stage.
As we collaborate through the design and building process, we understand that your design, material and colour selections may change. That’s okay!
